Last month, Lucy Hale celebrated one year of sobriety.
In an “alternative Valentine’s Day post” on Tuesday, the “Hating Game” actress informed her Instagram followers that she has not consumed alcohol since January 2022.
The 33-year-old actress posted a picture of a sprinkle-covered pink cake with the caption, “This is a post about self-love and about the greatest thing I’ve ever done.” I celebrated one year of sobriety on January 2, 2023.
She said in her conclusion, “Though this journey has largely been private, I felt compelled tonight to let anyone who is struggling know that you are not alone and you are loved.”
Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse, Hale’s “Pretty Little Liars” co-stars, expressed their support by commenting with emojis.
For her part, Troian Bellisario wrote a lengthy message of congratulations.
“This is courageous. Cool, too. And uplifting,” she wrote. Additionally, you are deserving of the unconditional love of both yourself and others. Regarding Tyler J. Blackburn, the actor acknowledged Hale’s “respect and love.”
In 2017, the singer told Byrdie that she quit drinking and turned to SoulCycle, calling it her “version of church.”
Hale stated, “I’m just always trying to surround myself with better people and be the best version of myself possible,” and she credited alcohol with helping her become a “social butterfly.”
She talked about her “picky… standards” for her romantic partners last month.
On a January episode of “Broad Ideas With Rachel Bilson,” the star of “Truth or Dare” clarified that she has not been in a committed relationship “for years and years.”
“I refuse to believe that’s not out there,” Hale declared. I simply need to have patience.
