Paul Rudd has some clear thoughts about other characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, despite the fact that he receives a lot of criticism for playing Ant-Man.
On Thursday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the 53-year-old action star played a round of Plead the Fifth, during which the host attempted to get him to disparage his co-stars.
“Is it not true that Hawkeye is the Marvel superhero with the worst powers?” Cohen made fun of the Jeremy Renner vigilante character in a joke.
Rudd laughed as he responded, “Yeah, it’s totally [Hawkeye].” He does, after all, shoot arrows. In addition, having conversations with ants bothered me.
Despite Marvel’s admission, Rudd has nothing but love for Renner. In an interview with ET earlier this month, Rudd talked about Renner’s recovery from a serious snowplow accident.
He’s doing well. Rudd told ET at the time that the day before the interview, he had talked to Renner and said that he was doing well. He is the best person and amazing.
According to earlier reports from ET, a snowcat crushed Renner near his home in the Mt. Rose Highway area of Reno, Nevada, in January. Renner was towing his nephew’s vehicle, which had become stuck in the snow, as the snowcat started to move. At the time, Renner made an effort to protect his nephew from harm, but he ended up being pulled underneath it.
Due to injuries that put his life in danger, Renner required emergency surgery. While Renner was in the hospital, 14 days passed. Since January 21, the Hawkeye actor has been back at home, continuing his physical therapy and healing from more than 30 broken bones.
